ABOUT THE EVENT

Though violence against women in cyber space is increasing daily, this issue still lacks in-depth studies that suggest solutions. Online violence against women manifests misrepresentation, sexism, misogyny, and silencing of women by violating their access to equally participate in public discourse and policymaking. Directions wherein women are often driven by the stereotypical advice about how to use social media, ignore trolls, stay offline, and hide personal information reflect the wronged mindset of society.

The Legal Boffin through this webinar intent to reflect upon the need for studies having critical legal approach that takes into consideration the constitutional, jurisprudential, and social concerns surrounding the issue of violence against women in cyber space to deal with it without sacrificing the interests of the violated.
