Workshop Guidelines:
- The workshop will happen over two days i.e. 8th and 9th of May, 2021.
- The workshop will start at 11:00 AM and end at 12:30 PM on both days.
- Registrations are invited however, confirmation of the registration will be based on your statement of purpose and other factors.
- All participants will receive a certificate of participation upon the successful completion of the two day workshop.
- The medium of instruction will be decided based on the input given by the participants at the time of instruction.
- All participants are required to turn on their cameras and interact proactively with the resource person when needed.
- In the case of any misconduct on the part of the participants, their access to the meetings will be revoked and certificate of participation will not be issued.

Dr. Gireesh Kumar J
Assistant Professor

Dr. Gireesh Kumar J is currently serving as Assistant Professor in the Department of Law, of Central University of Kerala. He is a graduate in both Economics and Law and a Post Graduate in Constitutional and Administrative Law. He has specialized in Human Rights of the Disadvantaged, Differently abled and the working class. Dr. Gireesh Kumar has done extensive research in the field of Disability Law and Human Rights and has acquired PhD from the University of Kerala in the year 2012, on the topic of “Legal Protection of Mentally Challenged People in India”. He has served as an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Law, University of Delhi, for a period of ten years from 2005 to 2015. Dr. Gireesh Kumar has a considerable number of publications to his credit in National as well as International Journals on various topics ranging from human rights of the marginalized sections to constitutional and administrative law of India.

Arjun Philip George

Arjun Philip George is currently pursuing his Doctoral Studies at Department of Law, Central University of Kerala. He completed his LLM in Constitutional Law and Criminal Law with Gold medal from Department of Law, Central University of Kerala, Thiruvalla in the year 2020 and his BA LLB (Hons.) from School of Law, Christ (Deemed to be University), Bengaluru in the year 2018. He cleared the University Grants Commissions National Eligibility Test in the year 2018. His articles were published in various books, journals, online platforms and newspapers, including The Hindu. He was one of the associate editors of a book titled “State, Civil Society and Human Rights” released by Central University of Kerala in February 2020. He has judged number of National Moot Courts, Trial Advocacy and Client Counseling Competition including the National Rounds of Louis M Brown and Forrest S Mosten International Client Counseling Competition, 2021 organised by KLE Society’s Law College, Bengaluru.
